Timing Is Everything

Things just “clicked” for me with dietSNAPS!

I downloaded the iPhone app last January because I had started to gain weight again… I was up to 160lbs. I used dietSNAPS off and on for the first 2 months, but in March 2011 I decided to renew my membership with Weight Watchers. I made a commitment to myself that I would snap a picture of everything BEFORE I ate.

I have used dietSNAPS religiously since then! It made such a difference in the way that I viewed food. I began to realize I had not been eating enough fruits, vegetables and protein. It became kind of a game to me to incorporate more COLOR into my pictures. Being able to email my pictures to my sisters in law and blogging about my journey on FIRE LITES FIRE helped me to stay accountable. Weight Watchers taught me my boundaries. As long as I stayed within my allotted point range and followed the Healthy Guidelines, I could be flexible and still have weight loss.

I reached my goal weight within 3 months of using a combination of Weight Watchers and the dietSNAPS app. I have maintained that weight for this whole year.

This “before” picture was taken on my birthday Feb. 28, 2011 (156 lbs) and the “after” was my birthday this year (135 lbs)!
