Correct Your Course

Week 7:  -2.4 lbs
Total Weight Lost:  -7.6 lbs

Ok, still a little crazy in the condo. The construction is almost complete and I’ve had some meals at home, but still ate out the majority of the week. I also found myself not tracking and becoming more lax. I know I had a great weight loss week, but I need to keep in mind that the, “I know what I’m doing” attitude is not going to work long term and I think I got very lucky. I still ate well and I’m almost (not good!) certain I stayed within my points, but I need to get my focus back and keep on track.Today has been great so far – great, healthy breakfast and lunch and I’m back to tracking 100%. I like that I caught myself so quickly and am back heading in the right direction. In thinking about this, two thoughts/sayings came to mind (both driving metaphors LOL):

1. If you’re heading in the wrong direction, the sooner you make a u-turn, the quicker you get to your destination.

2. When we get a flat tire, we don’t get out of the car and slash the other three tires. We fix the flat and keep on going.

Hope you all have a great week! Just knowing I will come back here next Monday to check in, really gives me that added element of accountability that I just need right now, so thanks for reading along!

What do you do when you start to get lax or head down the wrong road? Would love to hear what motivates and inspires you.

Until next Monday,
T
