dietSNAPS Tip

Today’s dietSNAPS tip comes from my sister in law, Carman of FireLitesFire.com. She discovered the dietSNAPS app in January of 2011 and got serious about her visual food journal. Over the course of four months, she lost approximately 20 lbs and reached her Weight Watchers goal! You can check out her dietSNAPS interview HERE.

From Carman:

I have been using the dietSNAPS app for almost a year now and one of the things I like to track with the app is my Exercise. One day after working out on one of the machines at the gym, I was in a hurry and didn’t have time to log in the time and workout summary info, so I just snapped a picture of the treadmill screen and went on my way. When I looked through my day later, I thought it was great to see all the info from the picture of the screen that I wouldn’t have been able to jot down.

After that I started snapping a picture of my Garmin watch after a run, taking pics before or after a class, with my workout friends and even logging how I felt about that workout.

I believe the more you treat this app like a journal – the better the progress of your journey! You learn about yourself more and are able to tweak your plan along the way as you learn things that work and don’t work for you. Being able to ‘see’ what you’ve done in workouts and diet is a huge help in the process!  I love that the possibilities are truly endless with what you can track with this app!

How do you track your exercise??

Thanks Carman! I LOVE this tip!! :)
